What is Ufouria: The Saga? Released in 1991 in Japan where it was known as Hebereke, the original Ufouria: The Saga was one of Sunsoft’s flagship titles of the 1990’s. Known for its comical and surreal world, Ufouria: The Saga was the starting point of an entire franchise. Over the years, several more titles featuring the game’s characters were developed, setting in stone its place as a bonafide series. Despite their differing genres (Action, Fighting, Puzzle, Racing, etc.) and platforms, all those games maintain the series’ unique worldview.

And now, 33 years later, the one that started it all finally gets a sequel! Hebe, O-Chan, Sukezaemon and Jennifer are ready for a new adventure. Welcome back to the crazy world of Ufouria!

A long time ago, in a time unknown to us, there existed a world called Ufouria. It was so named because only four different species inhabited its many wonderful lands. All creatures of Ufouria lived together in peace and harmony.

But this all changed when the evil alien Utsujin landed on Earth with ambitions to take over the planet. With help from his ‘Bumyons that make things all icky, Utsujin begins to put his evil plan into motion. Finding all this to be very uncool of him, Hebe and his close friends O-Chan, Sukezaemon and Jennifer embark on an adventure to chase after the nefarious Utsujin.

Welcome back to the crazy world of Ufouria!
