A Way Out is a couch or online co-op only game where you play the role of one of two prisoners in a daring escape from a maximum-security penitentiary. What begins as a thrilling escape quickly turns into an emotional adventure unlike anything seen & played before. A Way Out is a two-player experience. Each player controls one of the main character, working together to escape the prison and continue beyond into each character’s lives. It is a game that explores the notion of trust, betrayal and facing up to the consequences of your decisions. 

A Tailored Co-op Experience

The entire game is a co-op only experience which is best played with a friend. All gameplay is designed with co-op in mind, making sure the players need each other to progress. Unlike typical drop in/drop out experiences. Includes the ability to play either couch or online co-op. Dynamic split screen and bespoke camera work offers an additional level of immersion to each player.

A Way Out offers something for everyone - may it be intense or lean back gameplay moments, action, adventure, exploration, puzzles, chase, stealth. Movie like pacing ensures no gameplay or scenario overstays its welcome with zero repetition unlike conventional games.

The narrative keeps the players on their toes, offering a fresh, unique and compelling experience throughout. Get a unique look into the character’s personal lives and their driving motivations through their interaction with others. Strong cinematic moments tie the plot together and propel the characters forward through their journey.

PEGI 18+

PEGI 18+: The level of violence can become gross and can include horrific methods of bringing severe injury or death including torture, decapitation or dismemberment. Violence against vulnerable characters such as children and the elderly may feature, along with motiveless violence against multiple innocents.

Sexual violence and threat are also classified at PEGI 18 and sexual activity with visible genital organs can be shown. The game may include detailed descriptions of criminal techniques, or it may glamorise the use of illegal drugs.
