A kinship that will determine the fate of the world

Around the world, Rathalos are vanishing. The last hope for their species lies in the hands of a Wyverian girl who entrusts you with protecting a mysterious egg.
A flightless Rathalos with small wings hatches from the egg, but tales warn that such a creature has the potential to destroy the world. Could this newborn Rathalos be the dangerous monster of legend?

Friends and foes
To protect Razewing Ratha, you’ll journey across many different locales and meet many colourful characters along the way – both friends and foes. Take a look!
Bond with Monsties
On your travels, you’ll find Monstie eggs that, once hatched, can be raised to become faithful companions. Bond with your Monsties to harness their unique skills that’ll aid you on your quest.

Here are just some that’ll cross your path:

Thrilling battles
Not all the monsters you encounter will be friendly. When things turn hostile, team up with your Monstie to face them head on in strategic turn-based battles.
Choose wisely from three different attack types – Power, Speed, and Technical – to counter your opponent’s fighting style and deal lots of damage. Don’t lower your guard though – monsters will change their strategies too, so adjust yours accordingly as the battle evolves!

Each turn fills a Kinship Gauge you share with your Monstie. Use the gauge’s charge to perform powerful skills that can inflict status effects, stop foes from attacking and stack the odds in your favour. By using the same attack type as your Monstie, perform a Double Attack that’ll inflict some serious damage and fill your Kinship Gauge.

Buddy up!
Allies you make along the way will assist you in battle from time to time. With up to three characters on your side, your odds against challenging foes will quickly improve. Your companions will decide their own moves. However, if you are joined by a Rider, you can perform Double Attacks with their Monstie too for some devastating blows!

Join forces with friends!
Team up or challenge friends with several new multiplayer modes – both locally and online!
Set off on quests and explore unique multiplayer areas with another Rider. Go on expeditions to find rare Monstie eggs, test your skills against specific monsters or challenge yourself in Trial Quests.
Want to show off the strength of your loyal Monstie? Then face off against friends in Versus Battles of up to four players.
